Welcome to Slater’s Words

I guess it is never easy to truly describe yourself and your goals for an activity. To start off, I am a Middle School History teacher in Tennessee. I’ve been in the profession about 13 years and figure I will probably never leave it. I am also the husband of a wonderful lady that has put up with me for nearly 15 years now as well as the father of a 10-year-old boy who is the source of many amusing stories. I also have become a bit of an amateur writer. I have no particular style or genre that I stick to, but I do seem to find myself writing quite a few stories about bumbling idiots. I wonder why that is? I have managed to have some success with this, much to my surprise. If you are curious about this, feel free to read about it here: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2014/12/prweb12398385.htm Some friends tell me I am no longer an amateur writer since I’m getting published. We argue about that distinction. Often. So what am I doing here? Lots of things, I suppose. Maybe espousing some wisdom. Maybe ranting about something. Maybe trying to find answers. Maybe trying to promote my work. Who knows? Whatever it is, I doubt you will ever find someone who tends to think or see things like me. At least, that’s what I’ve been told all my life by everyone that has met me. They could be exaggerating. Then again… i just created a page (I refuse to call it a fan page. That’s way too premature) on Facebook. Check it out! https://www.facebook.com/PupTheBook Follow me on Twitter! @PFC_Pup

Well, I won’t say that it’s going great. I’ll just say that it is going 😀 I appreciate you leaving the review. So far all reviews but one have been 5 star, and tho other was 4 star, but I’m still trying to figure out how to reach people with marketing. Started your pre-release marketing yet?
